Acquisition of the company premises
Acquisition of the company site and buildings by Adolf Halstrick and Mr. and Mrs. Stauffen.
We do everything ourselves and have the complete value chain in our own hands – from trend studies, design development, color and repro management, tissue production, converting equipment, packaging solutions, deliveries as well as customer service.
From the customer’s request to the store – everything created and produced in Euskirchen – Made in Germany.
As a medium-sized company, we meet national requirements with the greatest flexibility and comply with all global standards. Our plant is certified in accordance with the international standards ISO 9001 (quality management systems) and ISO 14001 (environmental management systems).
In addition, the safety of our products with regard to food contact is regularly confirmed by independent laboratories. Our products are “Made in Germany”.
Our ambition grows from our enthusiasm for people and moments, the product napkin and our understanding of the needs and requirements of our customers.
For us, the napkin is more than just an everyday object: it is an ambassador for a culture of tableware, communication and welcome. We believe in honest encounters and cooperation without reservations. Strangers remain strangers until they become friends, eating together is the bridge, the napkin the companion. It helps us humans to save face, wipe away mishaps with a smile and feel free.
This is the only way to achieve true encounters and solidarity, which in turn is the basis for a peaceful world – this is the contribution we want to make with FASANA. We connect people and offer hospitality in every napkin.
Our mission is simple. We live napkins – from each and every single fibre.
As a paper magician, customer advocate and moment refiner, we do our best every day to produce an excellent quality product “Made in Germany”. A product that meets our high standards of hygiene, feel and aesthetics and will surpass them in the future.
Our actions are based on a conscientious approach to sustainability, because paper is a valuable raw material based on natural resources. We cannot and do not want to deprive ourselves of them.
Our attitude is customer-oriented. After all, it is our customers who make it possible for our product to be available wherever it is needed. We are reliable, determined and courteous. We embody “hospitality in every napkin”, both externally and internally.
This is our best napkin. We are FASANA.
In 1919, Adolf Halstrick and Mr. and Mrs. Stauff acquired the company premises and the building in Stotzheim. The conversion of production for tissue paper and toilet paper began in 1926 with 52 employees at the time. Dr. Adolf Halstrick was appointed Managing Director in 1928 and in the same year the first napkins rolled off the production line at the Stotzheim site.
During the Second World War, production was limited to bandages and embossed napkins for hospitals.
After the end of the war, a new start was made in 1947 with a total of 47 employees and by 1972 the production facility in Stotzheim had developed into one of the leading companies in Europe in the field of paper production and napkin manufacture.
Between 1972 and 1985, the product range was optimized so that the focus of production at the Stotzheim site was exclusively on tissue and napkin products.
In 1998, the company was transferred to Metsä Tissue Oy and in 2020 the Mutares Group acquired the company and changed its name to keeeper tableware GmbH. Since 01.01.2022 we have been operating under the name FASANA GmbH. With around 200 employees, FASANA GmbH is one of the largest private label napkin manufacturers in Europe. From Stotzheim, napkins are supplied to all well-known companies in the food retail, discount, drugstore and bulk consumer market.
The FASANA brand was developed and established along this journey through time in 1947. Under the FASANA brand, we offer a range of napkins for wholesale and retail that is optimally tailored to market and customer requirements.
2024 – The pheasant is back. The pheasant appears together with the wording FASANA as a corporate brand.
The pheasant in all its glory, with its variety of colors and its gourmet elegance, was the inspiration for the founding of the Halstrick paper mill in 1919 by Adolf Halstrick, a passionate hunter. However, it was not until 1947 that this special animal made its first appearance.
It was here that the FASANA brand was developed, which from then on accompanied the napkin business of the then Halstrick OHG under the management of Walter Anton Viktor Halstrick. The variety of napkins produced in terms of shape, color and motifs was intended to evoke the magnificent plumage of the pheasant. Walter Halstrick not only saw the visual attributes in the name, however, but was also well versed in mythology. Here, the pheasant is considered to bring luck and prosperity, it brings wealth and beauty and is a symbol that projects and plans will be successful. The pheasant was proved right.
Even today, the napkin adorns the beautifully laid table and is always to hand wherever it is needed. The colors, designs, embossing and patterns of the napkin are all a reflection of the colorful pheasant feathers.
In a world where nothing happens casually any more, even a simple napkin has a responsibility and carries a message: the napkin is more than just an accessory, it is a statement of successful table culture.
If we are enthusiastic about them, they will also inspire our customers and their customers. We have it in our hands today what our customers will use in the future, for a romantic candlelight dinner, breakfast with the family, a currywurst on the corner or as a little helper for spontaneous greetings.
